Saharan Dust

Saharan Dust concentrations, ranging from moderate to high, will continue to affect the eastern region through later this afternoon and the western areas through tonight. Improvement is expected to begin in the USVI before spreading to Puerto Rico as the Saharan Air Layer progresses westward. Although the Saharan Dust will mostly inhibit showers, local effects may lead to isolated afternoon showers in interior, western, and southwestern Puerto Rico. |
