Colors follow the standard NWS radar reflectivity scale (dBZ): blues for drizzle and light rain, greens for rain, yellow–orange for heavy rain, and red–magenta for torrential or severe downpours. Gray and pale blue-violet tones are faint echoes below 5 dBZ, usually dry air, dust, insects, or echoes from the ground or the sea rather than rain. These show up mainly in the Detail view as speckles thickest near the radar site, and the map hides them by default; uncheck “Hide non-rain echoes” under the map to see them. The key below the map labels each range. Times are shown in Puerto Rico time (AST).
